Epoxy Floors & Garage Coatings

Epoxy floors for garages, shops and showrooms

A bare concrete garage floor stains, dusts and holds every oil drip. An epoxy coating turns it into a hard, sealed surface that wipes clean, brightens the whole garage and stands up to hot tyres, dropped tools and Florida humidity.

How we do it

Epoxy Floors & Garage Coatings across Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties

The difference between an epoxy floor that lasts and one that peels in a year is the prep. We grind the slab mechanically to open the surface, fill cracks and spalls, and check for moisture coming up through the concrete, which is common on the Gulf Coast. A kit rolled over an unground floor will not hold.

Then a primer, a 100% solids epoxy base, a broadcast of colour flakes if you want them, and a clear polyaspartic or urethane topcoat for UV stability and chemical resistance. Solid colours and non-slip additives are available for workshops and commercial floors.

Plan for the garage to be empty and off limits for about three days: one for grinding and repair, one for coating, and a day to cure before you drive on it.

Often booked with it: commercial painting and pressure washing.

Good to know

Epoxy Floors & Garage Coatings: the questions we get asked

How long does an epoxy garage floor take?

Two days of work for a standard two-car garage and about 72 hours before you drive on it. The garage needs to be empty when we start.

Will epoxy peel off my floor?

Not if the slab is ground and dry. Peeling almost always comes from coating a smooth or damp slab. We grind every floor and test for moisture before we start, and if the slab is too wet we tell you rather than coat it.

Can you coat a floor that already has paint or an old epoxy kit on it?

Yes. The old coating is ground off down to clean concrete first. That adds time but it is the only way the new floor will hold.

Do you do commercial and workshop floors?

Yes: workshops, warehouses, showrooms, restaurant back-of-house and retail floors. Those usually get a solid colour with a non-slip additive.

Can I pick the colour and flake?

Yes. We bring flake samples to the estimate so you can see them on your own floor in your own light.
