Painters in Pensacola, FL

Pensacola is where most of our work is. From the 1900s wood-frame houses of North Hill and East Hill to the brick ranches of Warrington and Ferry Pass and the newer builds out toward Beulah and Nine Mile Road, we have painted most of what the city has to offer.

What is different about working here

The older neighbourhoods are the ones that reward careful prep. Lap siding and wood trim that have been painted a dozen times need loose coats scraped, bare wood primed and every gap caulked before colour goes on, or the new paint peels with the old. We budget the time for that and show you what we found before we paint over it.

Pensacola's weather does the rest of the damage. Summers are long, humid and hard on north-facing walls, where mildew grows under the paint if the surface is not washed and treated first. We wash every exterior before we start and use a mildew-resistant coating on the shaded sides of the house.

Inside, most of our Pensacola calls are for whole-house repaints before a sale or after a purchase, kitchen cabinets that are solid but dated, and rental turnovers where the schedule matters as much as the finish. We work around tenants and closing dates and tell you up front how many days each room will take.

Questions from Pensacola

Which parts of Pensacola do you cover?

All of it: downtown and the historic districts, East Hill, North Hill, Cordova Park, Scenic Heights, Warrington, Ferry Pass, Beulah and out to Perdido Key and Pensacola Beach. We are based in Cantonment, about twenty minutes north of downtown.

Do historic-district houses need anything special?

Usually more prep than paint. Old growth wood siding and trim are worth keeping, so we scrape and sand rather than replace, prime bare wood and caulk every joint. If your house is in a designated historic district, exterior colour changes may need a review by the city's Architectural Review Board; we can point you to the right office.

How soon can you start a job in Pensacola?

It depends on the season and the size of the job. Call or send the form and we will give you a real date, not a guess, once we have seen the project.

Do you paint rental properties and turnovers?

Yes. We do a lot of turnovers for landlords and property managers in Pensacola and can usually work to a move-in date if we know it when we quote.
