Pressure Washing

Pressure washing for siding, driveways and decks

In Northwest Florida a house does not stay clean. Mildew grows on the shaded walls, pollen and dirt stick to the sunny ones, and salt air leaves a film on everything near the water. A proper wash takes years off the look of a house and is the first step of every exterior paint job we do.

How we do it

Pressure Washing across Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties

We wash siding, brick, stucco and fiber-cement with a low-pressure soft wash and a mildew-killing cleaner, which gets the growth off without forcing water behind the siding or stripping sound paint. Driveways, walkways, pool decks and patios get a surface cleaner at higher pressure that takes out the black streaks and tyre marks.

Wood decks and fences are washed at low pressure so the grain is not torn up, and brightened if they are being stained afterward. We also clean gutters, fascia and soffits, where the green and black growth shows most.

Book it on its own before a sale or a party, once a year to keep the house looking right, or as the first day of an exterior painting or staining job.

Often booked with it: exterior painting and deck, fence & wood staining.

Good to know

Pressure Washing: the questions we get asked

Will pressure washing damage my siding or paint?

Not the way we do it. Siding is soft-washed at low pressure with a cleaner doing the work. High pressure is only used on concrete. Loose, failing paint will come off, which is the point if we are painting afterward.

How often should a house be washed here?

Once a year keeps most Pensacola homes clean. Houses in heavy shade or near the water may need it more often.

Do you wash before painting?

Always. It is included in every exterior painting and staining job; paint will not hold on mildew, chalk or salt.

Can you get oil stains off a driveway?

Most of them, with a degreaser and the surface cleaner. Old, deep stains lighten but may not vanish; we will tell you what to expect when we see them.
